Lama dance and sand mandalas

In order to raise funds for their monastery, seven monks from Gajang Tsawa Khamtsen of the Ganden monastery visited several European countries, under which the Netherlands in 2005 and 2008.

The monks created a series of traditional sand-mandalas and gave lama dance performances in a number of cities. The entire organisation of the tour was done by volunteers of the Dhonden Foundation. The tour was a success in all respects; visitors were very pleased and the monks were able to raise important funds for Ganden Jangtse monastery.
